The Sidney Poitier New American Film School currently partners with Sun Studios of Arizona to provide state-of-the-art production facilities for the film program, elevating students to learn in a professional studio setting and work in a real-world environment. Starting in Fall 2022, our film program will expand to the Mesa City Center. Visit

ASU at Mesa City Center
The three-story academic building, which is scheduled to open in 2022, will offer programs in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts in digital and sensory technology, experiential design, gaming, media arts, film production, and entrepreneurial development and support. ASU at Mesa City Center, which will host about 800 students, will include a large exhibition gallery, screening theaters, production studios, a fabrication lab and a cafe that will be open to the public. The upper floors will include classrooms and spaces for collaborations with the community and industry. Along with the ASU building, Mesa City Center will include a gathering space called The Plaza at Mesa City Center and adaptive reuse of Mesa’s first library into The Studios at Mesa City Center.
